Hi,

I am relocating to Greenville to teach at ECU. So far, I have narrowed it down to Waterford Place (not the Reserve), Meridian Park, and The Pointe at Wimbledon. Any pros/cons for any of the locations?

Thanks in advance!

I lived not far from The Pointe at Wimbledon and liked the area. Its convenient to everything and has a fairly active population. I am not familiar with the other two though.

Wimbledon is in the safest part of town. The other two aren't too far from trouble spots.

Waterford and the Pointe are pretty solid.

Thanks for the replies! It's hard to pick a place from a remote location! Any other advice about the area is greatly appreciated

Wimbledon, definitely! You are close to the Lynndale neighborhood, which is prime for biking, running, walking and has some of the nicer homes in town. You are conveniently close to the Courtside Athletic Club, which is awesome! You are not downtown or in West Greenville, so that is good. Yep, I recommend Wimbledon!

I had a friend who lived in Meridian Park. He liked it for the few years that he was there.

I'll be in the Engineering Department. I'm looking forward to it! (even though I'll miss my snowy winters!)

Oh, yes.. congrats. I have a few friends in that department. Help it grow into one of the best!

By the way...we got some snow last year. Lots of it (for here). I think it must have snowed on six or seven different occasions, three of which stayed on the ground for several days.
