Be safe. My relatives are in Buxton and I'm wondering how they're going to fare.

Looks like the first casualty of Arthur just happened at Ocean Isle Beach.

Around 4:30pm I was out on the beach and 3 police SUVs and 2 fire department trucks came on the beach and a large crowd gathered around the vehicles.

I was going to walk down, but I had my 3 yr old, so I took him back to the condo.

Sad that one surfer thought he could catch that big wave, instead he lost his life.

You guys out East are going to be in for rain. A lot of rain. Arthur is just sitting there with it's rain bands hammering and saturating everything east of I-95.

The flooding is going to be bad....real bad.

Prayers out to you all.

I am looking at images on News Channel 12 and thinking of all of you and of our beloved beach. Be safe. Thoughts from Ohio.

We are vacationing on Wrightsville Beach - very windy with lots of squalls coming through. The sustained winds actually seem worse now that the storm has moved past us. The sand is blowing like crazy!

We had a tornado warning this afternoon and they herded us in the ballroom of the hotel till it expired.
