New Wegmans Locations – Wegmans Grocery Stores – ALL YOU | Deals, coupons, savings, sweepstakes and more…

Wegmans has 3 locations in VA in the works!

5 hours from coastal Carolina (near Richmond) beats an 11 hour trip.

We were visiting daughter and SIL in Alexandria, Va last weekend and went to their newest opening on Telegraph Rd. The place was jam packed they have a full restaurant/bar w/ outdoor seating. The place was huge.

The Alexandria location is less than a mile from our daughters' new home! They are thrilled and we are psyched, throw a cooler in the trunk...good to go!!!

I assumed the Aldis reply was being sarcastic, but maybe I was wrong. 5 hrs for a grocery store is insane when there's a Whole Foods right there. Wegmans is nice but not THAT nice.

Well, if you've never been to Wegmans you have no idea how much fun it is. Prices are cheaper than Giant here in the Gainesville, VA area. The wine shop has THE BEST prices anywhere. Beats Giant by about $4-$5. I have a friend that moved to Mooresville, NC and she came up here to the Gainesville store for shopping when she was in the area. I hope Wegmans moves south to North Carolina soon by the time I retire down there in 4-5 years.

Wegmans is working on a store in Charlottesville, Virginia. Been watching with anxious anticipation, and will easily drive up from northeast Tennessee a few times a year just to shop there. Sounds silly to drive 3-4 hours to grocery shop, but....

We have NO stores here which are worth entering...the "best" is Krogers...followed by Food City, and then the dregs like Aldi, Food Lion, and Ingles. They just "redid" one of the Kroger sotres...it looks like something right out of the 70's: high ceilings, bright florescent lighting, old fashioned fish/meat counter....veggies stacked up against the wall like it was 1980 all over again...and the bakery area...omg....there isn't a decent loaf of bread in the entire store.

Can't wait to have Wegmans back...and I know many others who are thinking the same thing. Once you have been in their stores, everything else is a distant second.

It is not only a great place shop, apparently, it is a fine place to work.
