River Place is a retail center locating at the southwest corner of South Glenburnie Road and Yarmouth Road in the City of New Bern in Craven County, North Carolina. It will be anchored by a supermarket, Publix #1533. Moe's, McAlister's Deli, and Great Clips are other confirmed tenants.

Publix will be having a job fair for store 1533 Wednesday, 22 June, through Sunday, 26 June. I guess store 1533 is opening sooner than late 2016.

Publix #1533's pharmacy received its pharmacy permit from the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy last week. I wonder if the store will be opening in late August.

So glad McAllisters is coming back. Hopefully it will look like the "normal" ones. The prior one was pretty much a dungeon.

I wondered what was happening with the other buildings.

I have never tried McAlister's Deli. I wonder how good its food is.

I like the food, but it is not a lot different from other delis, but the atmosphere, at least in the ones I have been to in Davidson and Greenville, has been quite nice. Open, tall ceilings, just a pleasant place for a sammy!

The only delicatessens I frequent are in supermarkets that have hot bars with chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, and macaroni and cheese. McAlister's Deli has more delicatessen sandwiches and such.

I saw that in yesterday's Sun Journal. Isnt that a month or two early? Seems like I saw Sept - Oct sometime, and I wondered why it would take so long, given the state of progress visible.
