Are there any monthly residential (not vacation) rentals available in Southport or Brunswick County in general?

We are relocating to Southport, our current home is under contract, and we have not yet found our new home. It could be a month, it could be six months, we just don't know and don't want to buy a home quickly just because we need a place to live.

One bedroom is sufficient, furnished or unfurnished considered since all of our 'stuff' will need to go into storage. A safe area is a must and, if possible, a first floor or single level would be preferred.

Any leads would be appreciated.

Thanks!

People in the same situation have rented golf villas or townhouses in St James Plantation. You might have to consult a real estate management firm. Also try Realtor.com, where I saw a furnished place for $900/month. You might contact the listing agent about a shorter term. You might also work a deal with an AirBNB owner or VRBO owner. If the place is inland, and not on the beach, it is less desirable as vacation rental.

Great input - thanks. I was too restrictive in my original post; I should have said Brunswick County, not specify Southport. Fixed that!
