We are now looking back at these condos, had considered them about a year+/- ago. Really the walkability to shopping, restaurants, etc.

1. They have no pool. Was told by someone fairly familiar with the area that you can purchase a pool membership with Sea Trail. Is this correct?

2. Does anyone know the pet restrictions? My dog is apx. 80 lbs.

3. Are short-term rentals allowed?

4. Golf carts?

Any reason not to consider these condos? This is for a perm residence when I retire in a year or two.

Thanks for any help.

Yes

Pets OK, but 80 ibs may be a stretch.

3. Are short-term rentals allowed?
Yes, but I don't think it can be one week. I think it must be at least several weeks.

4. Golf carts?
OK but you can't take them over the bridge to the beach.

HOA fees a bit steep to me but I guess all HOA fees are steep to me. However the exterior of the units and grounds are well maintained.

Big plus to me is concrete siding.

Last of all no hurricanes (at least that I'm aware of) since 1989. That doesn't mean it can't happen next
year.

Thanks very much for your responses. The pool membership was very important to me.

I agree the HOA is steep, but certainly like concrete siding. Love your comment on hurricanes. So true.

In order to avoid an online squabble, I will withdraw my comment. I was unable to find any reference to specific storm details in Sunset Beach on Google. As to my own residence, there was absolutely no damage. We live in Village Park, about 2 miles inland from the barrier island of Sunset Beach.
