Hello! I've been to Wilmington in the past and we had a wonderful time there.. however I was wondering if there is any nightlife or fine dining other than downtown just for future reference? Not really scattered though, more like a strip of night life or dining? (Also other than that long street that leads to college road.. I can't remember the name but it leads from downtown to the college rd area, yes other than that strip) Somewhere that gets busy perhaps on the weekends? I know there are some new shopping centers, but i'm not aware of the scene at night or if there is dining there thats, "hopping" lol. Thanks for the help in advance =]
OH and what would be the best place/spot to go in downtown for nightlife? I guess good music, good food.. that type of thing.

mayfaire has some decent restaurants and if you are looking for a strip of bars, go to wrightsville beach. the main drag at wrightsville has like quite a few spots.
You will hear either 'beach barz' or downtown. Wrightsville beach has a small cluster of bars(22 North, Lagerheads, Jerry allens and Red Dogs. Mayfaire and Landfall areas have a few bars ppl hang out: Fox an Hound, City tavern and Wild Wing Cafe. I hardly ever go downtown anymore bc im closer to the beach bars and Mayfaire area. What kind of scene are you looking for?
The long street that leads from downtown to College Rd is called Market St.
I agree that Mayfair is probably the best area to check out. There is a move theater, a mall, and several places to eat.
