Yes, yes, almost that time for the R3 game. For those who dont know, Im talking about the Red River Rivalry. Orange and White vs. Crimsom and Cream! So its never to early to talk a lil smack about ur rival is it? So without further hesitation let the insults begin Longhorn & Sooner fans. Just try and keep it funny.
Sooner fans Good Luck, not really but EAT ST JP Not Really!
I got my tickets! Honestly, I think Texas will own the Sooners this year. The Sooners can't stop the rush-- and we are a rushing team this year. Also-- our defense will easily shut down Landry Jones. I expect him to get sacked multiple times during this game.

Yikes! UT has rushed for 197, 167, and 93 (all against weak teams). In no way is UT a rushing team. Air Force put up ungodly rushing numbers on OU, but AF is a superior running team than UT. UT does not have a good running game at all. IMO, in order to beat OU, your young QB needs to step up and your defense needs to stay stout.
This game is always a good one and almost anything can happen, however, Texas is not as good as they were last year or the year before that. IMO Oklahoma is slightly better than UT overall this year and they haven't won this game since 2007, so I think they'll probably beat the Longhorns this year.

On the business side of things, containment on the edges of the field vs. ou is very importanat for the Texas Defense. Also I think the weather may play apart as well. Its been a very hot and muggy summer for both states, so conditioning may play a factor. Both teams can go no huttle in a hurry.
What I love about this pic is the guy on the bottom row to the right of the cheerleader holding the sign is throwing the horns down.
It's kinda like he's just figuring it out..."Man, we do suck." *shrugs shoulders*
