You know, for those teams and conferences that don't have their own thread (of course anyone can post in here). And for whatever else CFB related.

Go Wolfpack go

Canes, my good man, while I stand firm with you and NCST on the hardwood, I'm a diehard Gamecocks fan on the football field. And whilst they pulled out a road victory over Vanderbilt last night, I must say it was ugly. Looking forward to tonight for some Boise St. vs. Mich St. action.

^ Bummed Boise State didn't pull that one off. Their BCS hopes are already done. They were driving late down 17-13 and couldn't convert the 4th and 2. The had it initially; but apparently Mich. St. called a timeout right before snap.... thought they should have had Southwick roll-out with a QB option instead of the pass-play they called. Also had a couple long vertical passes that Soutwick couldn't complete that may have been a TD on that drive.

Nice work by Mich. St. moving the ball and burning the clock late in the game.

Yep;they were very impressive. Dominate game on both sides of the ball and that feshman back looks like heisman material. No doubt they should have been rated #1 pre-season except for regional sports writer bias.

Bama looked fantastic regardless if Michigan was rated way too high. Bama would be my pick to take yet another Natty. I thought SC looked good, but when you have your starters in into the fourth quarter throwing tds, you better look good against a bad Hawaii team. Oregon looked good as well (not thier 3rd stringers though). Notre Dame looked way better as well. West Virginia easily looked like the most impressive team in the B12. Ohio State looked like they improved thus far.

Teams that looked bad were Florida, Oklahoma, South Carolina, most of the Pac-12, Michigan, Wisconsin and there were a whole lot of meh teams too.

It was only the first week though, so a ton will change.

Even though I currently reside in MI (soon to be the South), I loved the Woverines getting knocked down a peg after an inflated preseason #8 ranking. They won't even make their CCG. OKST an 84-0 win (even against a cupcake) was crazy. Maybe the Cowboys are getting sick of the Longhorns and Sooners always getting spotlight. Congrats to the Ohio Bobcats also.

OK St. is definitely reloaded. They're the real threat out of the Big 12, not OU Sooners, who are once again overrated.

Bama is back, but it'll be interesting to see how they do when they get into the meat-grinding part of the schedule. Michigan will be okay, but had no chance against the teeth of that Bama offensive line (tried to tell all of the SEC haters that last year when everyone was boo hooin about the Bama-LSU title game).

Oregon was unbelievable. Don't let the final score fool ya, either. They could have dropped 75 or 80 points on Ark, St easily
