I wouldn't give up on Baylor just yet.. Well know more about Stidham after he gets his first start against K State, but the kid is a stud that we are extremely lucky to have picked up at the last minute.

... He also had a dream start to his college career, throwing a 42-yard touchdown to Chris Platt on his first pass in a Baylor uniform against SMU in the season opener.
He was one of the nation’s top recruits at this time a year ago: Stidham was the No. 37 player in the ESPN 300 for the Class of 2015, earning Under Armour All-American honors and participating in the Elite 11 and The Opening. Kansas coach David Beaty said Monday that Stidham and Texas A&M freshman Kyler Murray had among the best quarterback evaluations he’s ever seen.
“From a fundamentals standpoint, he’s as good as I’ve seen,” said Beaty, who was the wide receivers coach at Texas A&M during Stidham’s recruiting cycle. “You hate to see that happen to Seth but Baylor is in really good hands because they’ve recruited well.”
He was a three-time all-state performer at Stephenville (Texas) High School: He was 183 of 260 for 2,934 yards and 35 touchdowns passing while adding 969 yards and 15 touchdowns on the ground.
Calling it now, Stidham is going to put together a stellar run here through the toughest part of Baylor's schedule and will lock up that starting position.
Johnson may not have proved the doubters wrong after all.. heh. Fortunately our run game picked up the offensive slack that fell off at the end of the regular season and helped put together the W for the team tonight with an all time bowl record 645 rushing yards.. against a top 10 team! Great way to head into next year, some of our reserves/younger players got a good bit of experience, and we sent the seniors off on a high note. Another 10 win season...
Yeah, its a shame there was no back up plan for if Johnson went down, before the UT game. Its clear if we had time to prep we could of adjusted, even with all the injuries.. but 20 minutes during the half wasnt enough time to reinvent the offense. Until next year..

True, but "our" 16 freshmen starters in the UT two-deep roster will be a little more experienced by then. And maybe the new incoming freshman QB will help keep Texas close.
Bumping an old thread, after watching Baylor lose to West Virginia today.. even as a basically impartial observer, it was an ugly, uncomfortable game to watch. Lots of combined turnovers & penalties.. then Baylor gives up 6 sacks. Only a handful of family members allowed in the stands at WVU. A dystopian setting and sloppy game. I ended up bailing before the overtime play..
