The Big Ten has voted to cancel the 2020 college football season in a historic move that stems from concerns related to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, multiple people with knowledge of the decision confirmed to the Free Press.
Good! I hope the Big 10 doesn't delay the season to the spring of 2021. Write-off the 2020 season and prepare for the fall 2021 season!
Sucks though. Ohio State was poised to do great this year with Heisman contender Justin Fields. Now he only had one season with them. Ohio State aside, many other schools are missing out as well. Lots of good college football to be missed for many this year.
Definitely too bad, but it looks like the NCAA didn't really have a well thought out plan as to how to protect the players. Good for the players to stand up and demand NCAA get their act together to protect them equally.
But no official word yet, so let's see if they change their mind with some coaches and POTUS coming out to advocate for continuing with the season.
It’s a game people, useless stuff before the virus and certainly useless now.
Hey, really sorry man. Totally sucks someone forced you to click on the Sports discussion part of a discussion board and forced you to reply with your 2 cents that you don't like sports. But have no fear, that's what we came to see. Someone....in the sports section of a message board...giving an irrelevant opinion on disliking sports...in the sports section.

I don’t think there would be a good enough plan to protect the players. Too many schools with risks, travel, testing, etc. I think they’d be clearly in over their head to plan anything this year.
