I live in Michigan. Have a degree from Michigan State University in Accounting. I had a poor gpa (2.9) when graduated. I have a job that is related, but not hard core accounting. Also, pay is poor (state job). I want to do Financial Analysis for a big national/international firm or company. Would it be my best bet to get Master's in International Economics from Eastern Michigan University? What other options would you suggest?

Honestly, not really. There are two basic flavors of finance: (1) corporate stuff / FP&A (where I work), and (2) investment / banking finance, like the stuff you find in Wall Street-like environments. Neither really draws that many core competencies from a Masters of International Economics. For (1), you would do better to have an MBA and a good background in Accounting. For (2), you would do better again possibly with an MBA, a Masters in Finance, or something like a CFA. I would say that most employers are also likely to look more at your work experience and performance levels than your additional degrees.
