Honestly, not really. There are two basic flavors of finance: (1) corporate stuff / FP&A (where I work), and (2) investment / banking finance, like the stuff you find in Wall Street-like environments. Neither really draws that many core competencies from a Masters of International Economics. For (1), you would do better to have an MBA and a good background in Accounting. For (2), you would do better again possibly with an MBA, a Masters in Finance, or something like a CFA. I would say that most employers are also likely to look more at your work experience and performance levels than your additional degrees.
