Check accuweather.com for the best advice. It's been up and down lately, as it is every May.

No heavy winter gear needed at this time of year. Layering is best, put on or take off layers as needed to stay comfortable.

Sunny days with little wind will feel warm or mild, but if windy the rising wind chills require an extra layer.

If you plan to go up top of Pike Peak, remember this: it's ALWAYS 30 degrees cooler up there and windy too, so layer up.

One word for Colorado clothing ... Layers. Mike knows his stuff ... but heavy winter gear is not out of the question if you're going to be on top of Pikes Peak.

Bring a little bit of everything! A warm hat does wonders if you end up underdressed. Layers are your friend. It might be 40F one day and 80F the next. It's hard to accurately predict very far in advance. Bring lip balm and have fun!

We've had a little rain lately, so you might want to be prepared for that, too. Check out Weather Underground for forecasts.

Tried to drive up Pikes peak, but it was closed due to lots of snow they recieved
Our friends drove us to Breckenridge & Vail.
We LOVED Manitou Springs & Garden of the Gods
Ate at a great restaurant/bar in Manitou, the jug. great food, great service, great prices.
Had some very good Breakfasts in Co. Springs at different restaurants.
Jewelry & pottery were priced better in Manitou then New Mexico (Taos).
I got some great deals in Manitou. Had lots of fun. Didn't want to leave.

I think you mean "The Keg" in reference to the great little restaurant/bar you mention. They have some great food.

Glad you enjoyed Manitou ... what's not to like?
