Any good places to play pool in CO Springs?

Upscale preferred, but I generally like a good atmosphere, good tables (tight pckets?), with maybe good league play. Multi hour deals would be sweet too.

AND...

Snow tires, I asked this on a snowboarding forum, but I figure I should ask again here.
How ineffective are all season tires with M+S rating (isn't this all all season tires?) in the snow in Co springs, particularly when driving out to denver and such? Most of my driving will be in Co springs, along with weekend trips to Loveland ski area, or Monarch, Maybe Vail/breckenridge (but I wont' take the i70 to it, I'll cut through on a local route like google maps tells me to).

I don't play pool, so I can't help you on your first question.

I drive a ford focus with all season tires to the ski resorts and it handles in the snow just fine. I never had a need for snow tires. I do carry chains with me just in case, but realistically, if it's bad enough where I'd need to put chains on, I'd just stay home.

My husband and I would go to Phantom Canyon to play pool every weekend before our kids showed up!

There is really only one pool hall in town. Antique Billiard Museum - 3628 Citadel Drive North.
They have 9 foot tables, 8 foot tables and 7 footers. They rent by the hour at very resonable proces. I believe that the 7 footers are all coin operated. If you like tight pockets they have a few 7 foot Diamonds with pro cut pockets.

Don't waste your $$ on snow tires, especially on the front range. See how your car handles this coming winter and decide if it's worth it. I run M/S tires in Woodland Park/Cripple Creek and never have an issue. Just slow down and drive smart. What kind of car is it?

It's a VW GTI, front wheel drive. I am very experienced in driving in snow, in both front wheel/rear wheel, in upstate NY.

I will be frequenting various snow resorts, still ok? Mainly loveland and monarch, monarc requires taking route 115 and 50 (not sure if these routes are plowed)?.. maybe sometimes taking the 24 to breckenridge/vail... etc... or maybe a 9 hour drive to SLC, utah.

Are all seasons M/S rated? Been reading around, and it seems most if not all seasons are M+S rated... these are the continental contiprocontact tires...

I just received the November 2012 issue of Automobile magazine, page 98. They compared stopping distances from 30 mph on packed snow for 3 types of tires:

Winter: Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V1, 74 feet
Summer: Pirelli P Zero 332 feet
All-Season: Continential ExtremeContact DWS, 135 feet

At 74 feet, the distance needed to stop with the winter tires, the car with the All-Season tire was still going 20 MPH.

You choose.

I use Blizzaks. If they prevent one crash, you get all your money back.

No doubt winter tires are better at stopping, their major advantage. Problem is, the snow melts so fast in the front range, you'll be driving on dry pavement 95% of the time and it gets above 50f a lot in the winter. The soft rubber compound just doesn't last long if you leave them on your car 6 months out of the year.

I say drive a winter first with your All Seasons (yes, Mud + Snow tires are an an all season) and see how it does. They keep the roads well maintained to the ski resorts, I've never had an issue getting up/down Hoosier Pass or anything else.
