hey all we are moving to Colorado Springs , to what I thought was going to be my dream area. But I am having trouble finding land, lot or home with land that will allow chickens. We are be relocating to C. Springs and can commute up to 40-50 minutes, ( don't want to ) Does anyone have the names of subdivisions that allow chickens in the springs area. I can not find anything , I am will to spend for land with a nice home on it not a crappy farm house, I have a big family so we need a big home. I would really like some opinions from anyone who has a home and chickens to the name of their sub division cause I am running out of ideas.

Thanks, Wanting Chickens

Probably almost anywhere in Black Forest will allow them. I have also seen them in Cherry Creek Crossing (Hwy 83 and Hodgen road), and Peaceful Pines (Hwy 83 and 105).

They're allowed in the county, too: El Paso County Colorado Chicken Ordinance - BackYard Chickens Community just check with HOA restrictions - I remember a news story about a girl who had pet chickens who was made to give it up by the HOA.

Seriously, just start looking for the house or area you want and go from there. Avoid HOAs, the mls listing should tell you when there is a hoa.
