Yes, warmer, and a tiny bit wetter - typical El Nino winter for us here.

Colorado Springs' "spring" is a joke. Can't wait to leave - 2 more weeks. Yes. Experiencing 2 "springs" here is more than enough for this California native. Ugh. Pass.

You guys are real and true Americans! (see bolded line).

We were in AZ for some spring baseball and missed it too; my neighbor shoveled it out for us, still a pile on the lawn.

On the flip side, some of us love Colorado's manic weather. The nice warmer weather has allowed me to get some spring cleaning done around the house, but the recent cold spells have dumped fresh snow in the high country for some great spring skiing! There is nothing quite like skiing in shorts and a t-shirt!

I'd much rather put up with the crazy spring weather in Colorado than spring in Boston, say, which involves lingering piles of dirty snow and giant slush puddles that melt and refreeze every night for weeks on end. My memories of living in the upper midwest are that the period of "melting" between "winter" and "spring" was even longer and more pronounced there, and was followed by an additional month or so called "mud season" before "spring" proper began.....

Colorado: winter -> spring -> oops, too early, winter again -> spring -> a little bit more winter -> spring -> more snow! -> spring -> summer

Michigan: winter -> melting -> oops, too early, winter again -> melting -> mud season -> spring (lasts 2 weeks) -> bug season

My family moved to SW Florida was I was 5 years old and I didn't see snow until my 20's when I moved to Long Island. Now back in Florida since 1999 I have never seen mountains or even a hillside. I long to visit Colorado one of these days especially in late spring or early summer when everything is in bloom. Florida & Hawaii have got to be the most monotonous places to live as far as different seasons go.

Absolutely - I'm glad there are people who love living here, like my parents for example. That means not everyone is concentrated in one place. 10 days until I joyfully leave forever (I'm a CA native, have only been here temporarily, staying with family). So more COS for you guys who love it! haha.

So I'm wondering if this spring will be like last year and we'll gain snow pack over April and May.

A reminder of last year:

Top picture is the Peak in January 2015. Bottom picture is the same shot in May 2015. Quite a bit of accumulation over 4 months.

Yeah despite the seemingly random snow dumps, the weather here is actually normally pretty great. I could do with a little more humidity but I love the sunshine, it can warm things up even in the middle of Feb! Having live in England for 8 years, I welcome the weather here!
