I will be moving from Philly and would love to have clients set up out there for me before I move! I just started the business here but do really love helping busy families and professionals in general with their household chores. Any ideas on where I would go to reach out to people? Figured here would be a great place to ask. Thanks!!

I have found Facebook advertising surprisingly effective and cheap, and you can finely tune who you target. Presume you have a Facebook page for your business?

Just fyi - it's a no-no to advertise your services in this open forum. You may want to edit your post if you still can.

True. I've already removed the link since we don't allow "self-promotion" in the forums. The OP can just tell us what the business is about.

Facebook and Craigslist are the two that come to mind...

There are a couple of mass mailing, direct advertising and coupon magazines here in town you might check into. Peak Values Magazine and Premier Values magazine are two that come to mind immediately. Certainly not free, but they may have a more direct line to some your customers than some free options.

I had a woman give me her business card in a grocery store when I lived in Colorado Springs. It looks like you will do good business wise, she said she quit her job picked up a broom and started a cleaning business now making over 3k per month.

Once you get here, join the Nextdoor site for your neighborhood and advertise there.

These are great ideas! Thanks for the advice! Yes, I didn't want to utilize this as advertising since its a no-no but wanted to reach out since I am all the way in Philly and wanted some insight from locals on how to reach people there from here! I am afraid to just jump over there without a way to pay the rent!

Thanks Mike! I help people by cooking meals for them for the upcoming busy week, doing their laundry and grocery shopping. Is there a demographic here that would like that kind of help so they can spend time with the kids or just have more time for themselves? I would love to find some places that are recommended I am able to reach out to from here in Philly so that I have a income outlook before finding an apartment I'll try craigslist and Facebook! Any other places you guys might recommend? Thank you so much!

The ritziest area is down near The Broadmoor resort, though there will be people is other parts of town who may like this service.
