As a bicycle rider I sure am!

Since we only get an average of one month of Spring and Fall this Spring seems to be the driest and windiest in quite awhile.

At least it will start warming up soon but I feel the summer will smell like a campfire again this year.

I am, though I’m in SW CO. The wind is so dry, so strong. Bad for drying out the land and vegetation, not to mention the gusts at night are annoying.

Looking like a baaaad drought year if spring is any indication.

Yes. I try not to complain about the weather, but it has been hard lately to not feel tired of the wind, especially when it is often accompanied by fires.

The wind is one of the main reasons we want to leave this region. After five years, we have lost four huge spruce in windstorms and incurred other damages. Also wondering why with all this wind, the vagrants continue to set fires. Seems like there is a "homeless" fire every other day. City needs to clear them out before one gets out of hand.

"...start warming up soon"... is that what you call it? There's going to be a heat wave next week: in the high 70's and into the 80's. That's the kind of "warm" we don't need in the middle of April! Sorry, but I cringe at the thought of another hot summer. Especially when it threatens to arrive in mid-April.

The wind and the hail were two aspects of weather in Colorado Springs that I had grown to despise. The most recent windstorms of 70-90 mph were epic. I had neighbors lose 30 year old trees.

We moved to California 6 months ago and so far the weather here has been delightful.

However, I do expect another wildfire season but that's no different than Colorado.

The wind is not THE reason I left Colorado Springs, but it was certainly on my list of reasons...particular wind + fire.

We are currently traveling, and it might make you guys happy (or maybe not) to know that the wind is really bad elsewhere right now, too. It was awful in New Mexico, and it's been bad in Texas for the last several days. I'm not sure why, but it is indeed annoying.

These windstorms can be common at times. Back in 1900 from historic news, there was one so powerful that it knocked over many trees in the city. If we look at history, they have always occurred here. At times or certain decades there are less than more, but it the low pressure and high pressure systems set up in the correct spots over the western US, they we get some strong winds.

I wasn't until you reminded me I should be. It is a bit much today. Seems like we're rivaling Kansas for wind.
