Moving to CS in December, never been there. I am 25, single, and wanted to see if there was a certain section of CS where there are liberal younger people. I am into music(indie, lo-fi) and enjoy going to shows and bars that have this type of music. From all that ui have read i feel like a i am going to be quite out of place in what sounds like hell for me with all of the religious and conservative people. If anyone has any help or insight for me i would appreciate it......Not moving there is not a option!

All that religious stuff here is overblown, everyone is fairly cool, pay it no mind.

I'd look at a westside area called Old Colorado City (OCC), use the search tool with OCC and you'll get lots of hits. It's a bit funky, a bit artsy, lots of eateries and some watering holes, etc.

Another couple miles west is Manitou Springs, a genuine artsy bohemian place with wiccans, new agers, free spirits, hippies, tourists, and some of the BEST eats in the area. Very compact town with hilly streets.

What nightlife we have is usually downtown along Tejon and adjacent streets. Best paper for music scene is The Indy.

Oh come one Mike...don't you think we should come clean??!!
We all walk around with our Bibles, meet nightly for Bible study, and greet one another with "God Bless". Additionally, we baptize you if you have any tattoos, wear baggie pants or have a mohawk. We truly follow God and try to dress like Jesus...

Oh, and Mike's real name is Dr. James Dobson and has an apartment in the basement of New Life Church. I am the ring leader for all the women! Everyone else on here are actually cohorts in crime in trying to recruit Californians and Texans so we can save them!!!

LOL!!!

The ones from Texas can probably be saved, but those from California are doomed for sure.

Geesh, there goes my cover. Pssst, you coming to the baptisms this Sunday; we'll be pulling cars over on I-25 if they don't have a fish symbol and dunk the people in Fountain Creek, it's marvy fun. I'm making a cheese ball!

I will second or third that recommendation for Manitou Springs or Old Colorado City based on your desires.
