Hello everyone!

We are a military family with 2 children ages 9 and 11. We may possibly have the opportunity to relocate to either Buckley AFB (Aurora) or Schriever AFB (Colorado Springs) next year and was wondering if anyone may be able to offer some suggestions on these 2 cities or nearby cities that you would highly recommend or not recommend. We've never been to CO, so I feel like I'm researching blindly. Also, any good links you can pass along on cities in the area would be great! Thanks for any input you can offer!

The first questions you're gonna get asked are what your budget is, rent or buy, and how far away from work you want to be. That'll help us narrow it down immensely.

Gotcha.....Options are open right now, however we would probably want to rent for the first year, and then eventually buy after we get to know the area better, and keeping a commute to work under 20 minutes. Thanks!

Either area can provide excellent housing and schools, with COLO SPGS probably the cheaper of the two.

You really need to tell us what MATTERS to you: Skiing, biking, arts, museum, pro sports, big city, small city, mountain biking/hiking, camping, RVing, hunting, fishing, camping, boating, shopping, access to airport, special medical needs, restaurant scene, horses, dogs, etc etc.

Padmapper.com shows rentals.
