I didn't have 40 mph winds, pretty much 15 to 20 for the morning. Got down to
27 degrees at my place. The fruit growers were prepared for the freeze.

Good news regarding that snow where Neditate is at!

I spoke with a friend in Paonia, they ran the orchard fans and all their fruit trees look to be all right. Ingenious contraptions those fans

Well, it's kind of unusual for Montrose to get snow this late in the season, but it looks like it's going to happen by this weekend!

KKCO-11 is reporting a seven day period of storm systems rolling through western Colorado. It's not a massive dumper but 4 to 6 inches of snow looks to come in by tomorrow night at the 7000 ft. level. Montrose will hit freezing temps by tomorrow night. Mesa County in the GJ area will see highs in the upper 50's and lows in the mid 30's. The Grand Mesa? Snow is a safe bet.

It is kind of surprising that we've seen only a couple 80 degree days so far, but that's ok. It'll get plenty hot by early June, thank you very much!

Hopefully Colorado Rambler can tell us whazzup for the four corners area. Same with Jim9251 in Ridgway.

Whatcha got for the forecasts CR and Jim?

Raining hard here in Fountain - can see the snow line very low in the mountains - only one or two hundred feet above the city of Colorado Springs

I'm following the weather avidly because at this time next year, I will either be on my way or right in Ridgway for my new retirement life! Gonna convoy with another car with my dogs and drive across on the Interstates. My friends in the convoy are going to take a week to be tourists, but I wonder what the weather will be and if anything will be open!

Glad to see moisture happening in the area.

Light rain here last night. Snow line went at least to the bottom of Lookout Mountain, I would imagine Golden/far west Lakewood got a little snow.

This hazardous weather outlook is for eastern Utah and western
Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Scattered snow showers across the mountains will increase in
coverage and intensity tonight, especially across Colorado`s
northern and central mountains. Embedded thunderstorms could
enhance snowfall for some areas. Accumulations of 3 to 6 inches
with locally higher amounts are possible by sunrise Thursday.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

A series of disturbances will bring additional mountain snow to
the region through Saturday. In addition, unseasonably cold
temperatures are expected which may bring a hard freeze to the
lower valleys where tender vegetation has budded out Friday
morning.
