A dusting in Montrose last night. The San Juans and Grand Mesa are under an Avalanche Warning.

So I have been reading where a polar vortex could hit the front range next week and if so highs could be below 0.

This is from the Washington Post.

Winter’s first polar vortex blast, already taking shape in the Arctic this weekend, targets the Lower 48 next week. By Tuesday, temperatures below zero will plunge south into the northern plains and Midwest. Over the course of a few days, the cold air will blast across the country to the Northeast.

No thanks, already had one this week.
Checking the NWS, I don't see any "highs below 0"...? Looks like normal temps all week, colder next weekend.

The forecast is for snow this Saturday in Pueblo with a high in the teens and low -6. Not as cold as I was hoping for with the polar vortex but I will take it especially since I was at Disney World and missed the last snow storm. If it does I will post a picture or two!

Winter Storm Warning for much of the western slope tonight through Saturday with 8-16" snow forecast. It was 48f at 6am this morning, had my morning walk in a long sleeve shirt. Ready for the snow!

This morning my thermometer reads -1 deg.

I'll need to put on a sweater to pick up my newspaper.

3" in Montrose, close to two feet in Ridgway. HWY 550 over Red Mountain closed due to avalanche, HWY 62 over Dallas Divide travel not recommended. 25f here with a 15mph wind.

About 5-6 inches in Security/Widefield/Fountain - but drifts because of the wind make it a little hard to tell.
