I'm Colorado born and raised, but even I haven't seen all our beautiful state has to offer. However we're all from different parts of the state, and have seen and visited different things. So I thought we could share some of our favorite top spots to visit. Whether it be your typical tourist stop, restaurant, city, small town, or little hole in the wall spot, etc. So share away!

I'll start with a few:

Garden of the Gods: (Colorado Springs) it can be crowed, but it's a tourist spot. However if that's not a bother to you, this spot is worth it. I really never get tired of the views.

John Martin Reservior: (Hasty, Co) has many lakes, but this is one of my favorites because it feels so private. I like having the lake all to ourselves. If you're camping you can rent a spot, or just staying for the day there's hiking, wildlife, fishing, boating, etc. you're very close to a ghost town! So you can visit that if you choose to.

Picture Canyon: location (Campo, Co.) it's been awhile since I've been out that way, but it's really such an experience. You'll need you're walking shoes but being able to see the Native Americans drawing on the canyon walls from so many years ago is amazing.

Pikes Peak, Sand Dunes, Florissant Fossil Beds, Royal Gorge, Rocky Mountain National Park, St. Elmo are a few possibles.

I agree with Picture Canyon - few people know that area, it is a pretty empty part of the state, but that area is gorgeous. John Martin I've been to and I just don't love it but I'm not that big on boating etc. I would recommend Eleven Mile Reservoir, though.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the top three photographed locations in the state are the Crystal Mill, Maroon Bells, and the AFA Chapel.

Crystal Mill is very well photographed, I've seen many photos of the place and they're gorgeous.the place already is, but the photos always look amazing. It's definitely a place to experience.

I haven't had the chance to see Pawnee Buttes, but I do agree it does get a lack of attention it deserves a lot more.
