Are there any tropical fish stores nearby? I'm severely disappointed in Petsmart's quality, and need some fish for a new tank.

Lol, you could try Petco. Not sure there are any other stores that would sell those. You could try google. Never lets me down.

Looks like the closest is in Phenix City - called Aquatic Supply -

The big box pet stores that shut down the local shops ruined the hobby for me. We had Fenton's on 13th which was amazing. You never saw a dead fish in one of his tanks. Petz Of Columbus on Macon Rd was good too. I knew the owner and he personally drove to Atlanta to pick up his fish. If there are any small ones out there, let me know.

I haven't tried Petland yet, but it is probably worth looking at. Just so disappointed by Petsmart, obviously sick fish, dead fish, etc. The 'big box' syndrome, as another poster mentioned.
