I think an ice cream shop would be great to have here -- IF we could one that offers high quality, homemade ice cream with a high butterfat content (think Butter & Cream in Atlanta, Ted & Wally's in Omaha, etc.).

I am hoping Costco of course. I am not sure exactly how large this property is but I think it could support a Costco AND some other stores/retailers as well. A million square feet?

On the other hand, it does not look like the company who bought it is associated with Costco? I could be wrong but we will see. I wonder if there is a way to contact them?

There should be way more than enough room for a Costco and lots more.

The Midland Commons project should be good for East and North East Columbus residents. Which should be the main draw.

My guess is a new strip built next to Willy's and Eyemart. I just dont see them putting it in any of the other spaces as it would result in too much food and zero retail.

That seems to be the case from the article. Was the old Atlanta Bread Company location filled? I though that would have been the perfect place for something like Newk's

Spoke with a fairly credible source and it sounds like Newks is going in the old Atlanta Bread Company location and Academy Sports in looking at the Sears location. Hope both are true.
