It's quintessential small-town Americana. I lived there for a time as a child, and revisited it recently...
Back in the day, it was a mix of rednecks and regular folks, even a small black community. I think it's gotten better, with a growing percentage of Columbus commuters with families. They have a movie theater, and a hospital. A lot of the other storefronts in the downtown area are religion-themed, which I found amusing. All in all, it seems like a nice place if you enjoy small-town life.

London is a nice small city of around 9,000 people. It is the county seat of Madison County which adjoins Franklin County to the west. London is growing at a slow steady pace. There are several newer housing options within city limits and surrounding rural areas as well as many old historic homes in the inner city. All in all, they have nice new school buildings, quaint downtown, affordable housing, and a reasonably short commute to Columbus. There is also some commerical development on the north side of town. Its worth a look as a cheap alternative for the Columbus Metro.

London was one of the places my family and I looked at when moving to the area. We liked it a lot, but settled on Granville, since I work on the NE side of C'bus but wanted "country/small town" life.
