Grandview might fit the bill for you. It's pretty close to the med center, it's pretty safe and not overly expensive. Upper Arlington is very nice but it will be on the pricey side. I am not familiar with public transportation in the area, but there are a lot of apartment communities in the Henderson and Bethel road areas that are fairly close to campus and moderately priced.

I agree that Grandview might be a good fit. Close to campus, affordable housing, decent parks, and the 84 bus will get you over to campus. I always biked to campus from Grandview when I was finishing up Grad school, it was usually faster than a car or bus. The area West of Vic village might be worthing looking at too.

Check out Colonial Hills in Worthington. Great for families and about 15 minutes from OSU.

Not from the med center it's not.

I second the Grandview recommendation...Arlington is fine too, but it's pricier.

I agree that Grandview would be a good choice. I would also check out Hilliard. You'd be looking at about a 20 minute drive--depending on what part of Hilliard you were in--but it's a nice community with excellent schools.
