Touch pad hot key issue (laptop, mouse, problem, font)

I think there is an easy solution to this, but it is escaping me.

If you hit control and the (+) or (-) keys it increases and decreases the font. Somehow, the right side of my touch pad has this effect as well. It is REALLY annoying. Any way to fix this?

Since I use a laptop and lug it all over my house, I really don't use a traditional mouse anymore. Is there a way to disable all hotkey function for the touch pad so it just acts a mouse?

Got it, its called "Pinch Zoom," and I just disabled, problem solved
