While we're at it, could the external enclosure also hook up my internal zip drive (yes, I have a zip drive from a long long time ago!) to my laptop?
Good question, I am not sure. I do not think so as the only thing they can hookup is the IDEs and I do not think that the ZIP drive use the same IDE interface.
FYI, the files that have all of your Outlook Express data are usually in
C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\[numbered folder]\Microsoft\Outlook Express\
LOL, yes, I have learned a lot today! God (or luck!) willing this will go smoothly and I can grab my files!!!!
My computer was custom made by a friend so I don't know if that has anything to do with it but all the components seem to be hooked up to IDE cables: the HD, the floppy drive, cd drives, and zip.
Now I just have to figure out what I'm going to do with these damn towers after I'm done!
