I often write abroad to Europe, to research my family tree. Hence, I often need a translation program for a wide variety of different languages. Google Translate, which is free, is usually adequate. However, sometimes the translation is a bit convoluted. Now, I understand that no translation program will be as good as a computer. However, can I purchase software (that I can put on my hard drive) that is at least somewhat better than Google Translate? Or would purchasing Translation software such as Babylon 9 or 10 simply be a waste of money. Which software programs are recommended, that can be at least somewhat better than online Google Translate? Note: I have Win8. Thanks for the advice.
Got that wrong, no computer or app will ever be as good as a native speaker
