If I were you, I would keep after Charter to help you figure it out. Good luck. Mine seems to have settled down, but I am continuing to be wary and aware.
I still think it is Charter because it is doing the same thing it did two days ago other than now asking me to log in and then rejecting my log-in. I am running a Smart Scan now. Tomorrow morning, I will call Charter again to be sure it isn't them. Then I will call the man who takes care of my computer. He is good. I trust him.

Thank you for your note.

P.S. I had to come back and say it. Now I "know" it was Charter. Everything is back to normal now. All of my disappeared mail has returned and new mail came in.

One thing is odd. I changed my email address at City Data but a note about your post just came into Charter.

"I'll worry about that tomorrow." (Sound familiar? <g>)

I agree. Both gmail and yahoo keep trying to improve their "product" to the extent that it's becoming, for me, not worth the trouble to figure it out. I just want to send and receive messages, after all.

Keep life simple. Right. For a while they were making email machines. I still have mine. That's all it does - email. Still works fine, too. I don't now why they stopped making them. Because they last too long, maybe?

Good grief. Haven't even run across that one. I hope to avoid it...
