Default Update...

I moved my laptop today & noticed another screw on the floor. What?! This time, I thought I should replace it, rather than drop it in a cup, so I tipped the computer over & used a flashlight to see where it belonged. Out of 19 screws... 9 are missing, all around the perimeter of the computer! There are currently 4 screws holding it together.

So, I tightened the rest, which were all loose & will definitely buy some laptop screws online today, since I now know exactly which size I need. I was going to pilfer some, momentarily, from the in-need-of-repair Compaq... but, that laptop only has 6 screws around the perimeter holding it together & the Gateway has space for 12... don't want to cause another issue to straighten out down the line... I'd like to try to fix the Compaq on my own.

Just wanted to give an update, should someone else down the line have the same issue. And, here's Jay's duct tape fix...

... s/he's crafty, that one.

You really need to figure out why your laptop is pooping screws.

My duct tape solution is more like:

but with fancier duct tape:

Stop. You had me with... the pic of pink duct tape!

Hahaha. You win. Your solution is cheaper & only requires 1 trip to H Depot (or Michaels for the pretty tape).

Pooping screws... LOL. This is a far easier workaround than the old, deaf dolls over in the San Diego forum complaining that neighbors are upset that their dogs are peeing in their yards... uh, yeah! I'm thankful for the little things in life... pink duct tape & small 'puter screws.

Hope your hair grows back sooner, rather than later... ... sorry 'bout that tape, then...

... it seemed like a good workaround at the time.
