For those who want to try Linux (Knoppix) for fun, there is a way to put it on a USB stick and just load from USB when start up your computer. It's neat. Boot and run Linux from a USB flash memory stick | USB Pen Drive Linux I'm pretty sure most anyone can do this, but if you need any help, just post here and I'm sure me...or someone else can walk you through it. It's pretty easy. Here's the City-data topic on linux for more reference.//www.city-data.com/forum/techn...x-knoppix.html

Yup - we've done this a lot and it's great. As a matter of fact, we use this when teaching our Embedded Linux workshops.

Have fun and thanks for sharing - good community effort.
