I meant to start this last week. I read in the Courant that HGTV's House Hunters will filming an episode in West Hartford. The article said it would be shown later this month. I do like the show and know they have been in Connecticut a few times. I believe they filmed episodes in Southbury, Hamden, Woodbridge and the New London area. I always thought it was strange they did not do any in Hartford or Fairfield counties. Anyway, if anyone knows when the episode will air I would appreciate knowing. Thanks Jay

They were in West Hartford once before, unless I am mistaken. I remember the house hunter bought a white colonial. That show is such an obvious set up (the house "hunters" are actually in escrow when filming) but for some reason I watch it anyway. House porn.

East Hampton??? Really? I missed that one too unless that was the show with the couple that had returned to Connecticut after living in New Hampshire. I thought that show was set around New London. Jay

Now that I think about it, I believe it was East Haddam.

Yeah it is. I read an article about it and the homeowners have already decided on a home by the time they're given the televised options. It's definitely staged, but still fun to watch. I also noticed that many of the homes they look at are priced higher than normal.

They filmed one in New Fairfeld a few years ago with people looking for a home with a view of Candlewood Lake.
