Yup, our house is going on the market a week from today.

My husband (the "J" of "DandJ") got a job offer he couldn't refuse in Worcester, MA, so we're packing it in. Well, the moving company will actually pack us, but details smetails.

So, if the J goes, the D has to go, too, apparently.

I don't know how long it will take for us to sell our house, but I'm already feeling sentimental about our neighborhood, West Hartford, and CT in general, so I figured this was as good a time as any -- if maybe a bit (or a lot?) premature -- to say goodbye to you guys since, once we move, I won't be hanging out in this forum.

Thank you all for your wealth of information, answers to questions, and a lot of giggles.

Cambium, like Dorothy saying goodbye to the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz: "I'm going to miss you most of all."

And to continue to the Wizard of Oz theme, JViello, I know you have a heart.

I'll still be coming into this forum until we move, so don't be talking about me behind my back. Wait until I'm across the state line, OK?

Good luck with your move, but feel free to pop in once in a while and let us know how things go up in MA. It is always interesting to hear whether people miss CT or they made a good decision by moving out. Heck, I live in CT but sometimes post in other state forums. Anyway, I think the suburbs of Worcester are rather nice and I'm sure you will like it.

Sniffle...

Wor-chest-er ( ) can be a good and bad place - HEY like much of New England, but overall I think it's gotten a much worse rap than it deserves. It's the Waterbury of MA IMHO. You got the T heading in, and...um, ah, the ah, hmmm...you got the T in to Boston!

Seriously though, good luck in everything. And yes, you are right, I'm a bleeding heart liberal under the skin. (In the true liberal sense) I just have different ideas on how to "help" people.

Thanks, everyone.

I came to CT from Montreal in 2005, but in these six short years, I've made it home. I guess I'll make MA home, too.

nep321: You're right; there are a lot of REALLY nice neighborhoods right in Worcester, on the West Side. I see it as being like the West End of Hartford in that regard.

If I'm not mistaken, Worcester is the 2nd largest city in New England. Either that or Providence.
