I live in Fairfield and I got my blue recycling bin from my trash company. The town does not do recycling pickup; it is the trash companies that do it, the same one that picks up your garbage.

Right, my trash company is the same company that picks up my recyclable items. This trash company charges $10 for a recycle bin. My landlord suggested I contact the town hall in fairfield and see if I can get a recycle bin for cheaper; BINGO. They charged me $8.50 so I saved a little.

Well, the good news is that you'll probably never have to buy another one. I've had mine for 16 years.

Milford just switched to single stream recycling on Aug 1st. So much more convenient and it increased the amount of things we can recycle drastically. I must be recycling at least 4x the volume now.
