Which do you prefer, and why?

My mother wants to go to the casino. We only play slot machines (if that's any help or if it matters).

I'm used to going to Mohegan, but usually only because I am going to a concert.

I've been to Mohegan a few times for concerts and Foxwoods only once.

Mohegan IMO has a better crowd if you're not opposed to being social. That said, Mohegan, from what I've seen, has a more diverse crowd (lots of people from flyover country, etc) while Foxwoods tends to have mostly people from the Northeast.

I prefer Mohegan. Newer, better decor, better restaurants (Bar Americain + Pepe's in one building? Yes.) and is just a better experience IMO.

Prefer Mohegan.
Atmosphere, layout, people, distance, table games.

Wasnt impressed with foxwoods. Who would have thought I would prefer the Sun over the woods. lol

Your mom will have a great time at Mohegan..

I much prefer Mohegan, though I know people who play poker and they all prefer Foxwoods. I guess it all depends what game you are into, but for slots, I'd pick Mohegan.

Foxwoods because they have MGM. You get to hedge out a lot of the riff raff by hanging out there.

True... but I was thinking more in lines of in general. Mohegan feels more comfortable. Maybe its because of the layout, everything seems easy to get to. There are no smoking sections but they do pretty good at filtering out the smoke elsewhere.

Are the ceilings higher at Mohegan or Foxwoods? I forget

Hands down Mohegan--Foxwoods has kind of an airport feel to it. The Main St area in FW is nice though, but still nowhere near the decor and general feel of Mohegan. Food, entertainment arcades and shopping ALL have an edge at Mohegan. Foxwoods-not so much. I agree with the previous poster about the cig smell. It can be obnoxious but I feel it is all part of the casino experience. FWIW, my mom LOVES Mohegan for the restaurants. Easier to get around if you're elderly. So I guess you can tell I like Mohegan, huh?
