One in Danbury was always alright. Last time I was there I got the impression they have been trying to move their menu upmarket to differentiate against other chains.
The one in Danbury is actually the only one I've been to. Their salad bar wasn't impressive at all. In fact, it was pretty gross. Yick.
Can't beat the salad bars in Whole Foods, generally speaking. And they have a nice place to sit and inbibe. (And i generally HATE the idea of Whole Foods, their prices, and their snooty pretense of being something 'better'.)
Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone know what ever happened to Raffa's Restaurant in Glastonbury? Mom and Pop passed away? Frank ran it for some years, and then.....???

Their salad bar is incredibly overpriced, and hot food generally disgusting (and strange). I got a salad and a few burritos from their salad bar - $17!!
Needless to say, I don't go to Whole Foods anymore.

OOh, Raffas...Long time gone! I think they went out of business in the mid 80's after the big flood of 1984. That was a great place; used to go with my parents as a kid every Friday night!
