Hi,

I am moving out to West Hartford in Nov. Can someone provide me a recommendation for a good healthcare clinic and dentist? Thanks!

Are you talking about a walk-in clinic?

If so:
Hartford Hospital walk-in clinic
336 N. Main Street
(860) 232-4891

Dentist:
Jack Gish
836 Farmington Ave, #105
(860) 231-8077

He has a team of dentists working for him there. Ask for Dr. Glaszman -- she's terrific.

OK, for a GP, my husband went to:

Dr. Cohen
740 N. Main Street
(2nd floor)
(860) 236-1606

I went to Dr. Silverman. She's very nice and was in the same office as Dr. Cohen but I don't know if she's still there. (It's been too many years since my last "annual" check-up. )

As for allergists, I don't know anybody. Sorry! But once you see a GP, I'm sure they'll be full of recommendations.

For allergist, go to Connecticut Asthma and Allergy on Farmington Avenue in W. Hartford. In particular, Jim Rosen and Lou Mendelsohn, Jeff Factor is also good. Sheila Silverman is still in practice, in Bloomfield (nearby).
