You should drive south on 91 - there are stations open in the Wallingford Electric towns. If all else fails, there are stations open here in Branford.

People are ridiculous hoarding gas like it's the apocalypse. I get procuring some generator fuel, but people filling their cars to the brim in droves is absolutely insane. I'm so glad that didn't happen near me, I would be so frustrated witnessing such stupidity.

It's really not stupidity. Lots of people are having issues with gas. They ran a story about how there was just one station open in all of Litchfield County, and they were running out fast. They probably ran out by now. Friends in Woodbury said the two stations open in Southbury are both without gas. Without gas means you're stuck home (or wherever your car ran out).

It's not a good situation, but I think the worst of it was yesterday. It's both unbelievable and scary how much we rely on electricity and oil.

There are only 3 gas stations in Litchfield County anyway.

I get it, but a friend witnessed gas hoarding in the Danbury area where most stations have power now, but low gas.

I usually keep my tank at least 1/4 full anyway, it's good car maintenance.

Same situation happened after Irene. In fact the day before Irene I know of one gas station that limited purchases to $20 so they wouldn't run out.
