Granted there's no easy way to get there, but I'll be out of class at West Conn around 12 PM tomorrow, and was hoping to get to Mohegan around 2 or 2:30. I have 3 routes:

1) I can take 84 to 34, take 34 through downtown New Haven, pick up 95 in New Haven, and take 95 from there
2) I can take 84, cut over to route 66 via 391, take that to route 2, and take that to Mohegan
3) 84 up to New Britain to route 9, then either: use the above once I get to 66 (cut over 66 to route 2) or take 9 south to 95 in Old Saybrook, and take 95 the rest of the way.

1 seems the less miles, but downtown New Haven (especially on a Friday) can really suck, and 95 East of New Haven can be pretty bad as well. 3 seems like it would take the least amount of time since it's all highway driving, but I'm going a ways out of the way.

I'm probably gonna be using #2, but wanted some opinions.

Leaving Danbury at 12 or 1, I'd probably take 34 to New Haven. You shouldn't hit TOO much traffic at 1ish in New Haven.

Number 2 ...spent about 5 years going from Danbury to Newport R.I.a few times every summer..tried em all and through Middletown is the fastest way.

691, not 391.

And yes, 1 and 2 are best options. I did option 2 the few times I made that trek
