I'm 45 miles to my office by car. 39 to the Shubert theatre. Nice catch "Google Maps". If NYC was only 6 miles further than NH, where would you go for "worldly" or cultural experiences?
Why is Ridgefield's culture not comparable? Both have well regarded restaurants and renouned theatres.

Not sure how that mileage makes sense, but that's neither here nor there.

Both. They are different experiences and different levels of commitment. Despite the distance, there's a good chance you'll get to New Haven without traffic and be able to park easily and for little money.

Not sure how you're 39 to Shubert, as Branchville (north of Wilton) in Ridgefield is only 38, and New Canaan (west of Wilton) is only 37. Also, Wilton to Harlem (far north Manhattan) is about 49 miles - where the heck is your office? Bronx? Anyhow, what did Google Maps catch? We proved you wrong when saying you're closer to NYC than New Haven. Thanks for addressing it.

PS - you might want to re-check your mileage.

Your point is? I proved Stylo/MKIV wrong about 3x the violent crime rate (even the worst cities are less than 2x as violent as NH). Big deal. It's nearly a wash in terms of mileage, but a world of
difference.

Yankee: I can easily map Wilton addresses that are 45 miles from the midtown north, park avenue addresses.

Even the most anti-New Haven posters on this board don't seem to have this much against New Haven. Come visit! It might change your mind. As other posters have said, we have a lot to offer.

Having been to Camden several times and having lived in New Haven for several years, I would pick New Haven in a heartbeat. Camden is in a whole different league. 2 times or 3 times the amount of crime in New Haven is really, REALLY bad.

What the....?

Are we reading a different thread? I cited the math that puts Flint at 2.6x the murder rate of New Haven.

I never changed the stats, I've always been citing homicide.

Rape and assault in Flint is almost double too.

I'm failing to see your point? Flint is a nearly worthless city with a lot more widespread crime. Their police force is tiny compared to New Haven's and their population far more impoverished, so who knows what goes unreported. It's a different world. Period.

Your attitude about NH comes across as pretty snobbish.

100 shootings and 32 murders? Thats less than a 33% hit rate. I think a few weapons need to be zeroed.

I bet the hit rate is wayyyy lower unless it's point blank. Gangstas don't know how to use guns.
