Me personally, I find SOPA to be very dangerous and would be a honor to called this as a 'stupidest law that we would ever face' in our life time in this country... not that I dont support piracy, but this seems to be more strict and will hurt people from trying to connect and blocking information. I really think they can even shut down a lot of sites, this would include city-data.com ...

I really do not think this bill has nothing to do with piracy because it would be obvious that this could more for blocking information, and nowaday the internet making people more smarter and informed... the internet helps get together and making everyone to more forward instead of going backwards... There is a lot about this bill that is very shady.

Not to sound like this is a conspiracy theory, but I really think there is something not right that that is going on... perhaps it's the illuminattis? So much to do with money I see aaaah, yeah

Congress passes a lot of things that are just as bad every year. Until we really start electing people that have the people's interest in mind, and not special interest - or making campaign finance reform real and taking the money out of politics - this will go on forever. Eventually it'll destroy our country.

I support SOPA.

Government needs to crackdown on google, youtube etc., big time.

If not now, it's coming in the future.

Remember I once said I was against people randomly filming you on the train and putting it on youtube and the video going viral coz some two passengers had a bad day and ended in a brawl?

Well, that won't happen anymore.

No free music. No free books. No free porn. No misinformation and information propaganda wars on wiki. SOPA is needed to save posterity from the garbage the internet is throwing around.

I don't mind censorship and paying some money to get what I want.

Agreed people are for it SOPA until something they go to look up to help with their kids homework or do research on a place they want to visit is blocked, then they cry foul. Try finding an encyclopedia britanica salesman and we will go back to the 70s again.

Would definitely increase my offline productivity

Dude, the bill may be quashed now. But it will come back in the future. The thing is, the internet is just starting to explode. It's only a matter of time before regulations regulate it and bring it under proper oversight.

Yeah, I do think it will come back but more likely better and more balance, but the next bill will be protecting USERs that will be allowing freedom of speech, freedom of sharing, freedom of expression... and I think there is some alternative to SOPA and PIPA that most of us internet nerds lol would agree, like OPEN Act.

Thing is, that bill is all censorship and would damged the way internet was meant to be used and we already have a law that can shut down websites, like they did to megaload... It needs to be a solution to piracy, yes, but not hurting the freedom of speech, freedom of sharing, freedom of expression, that I would agree and I'm fine with that.
