Very expensive for a so so (but family friendly) part of Milford. If you are amenable to spending up to 700, you really ought to be looking at Fairfield or Westport. Both provide much better schools and like Milford are shoreline towns with town centers. Unless you are working in Milford or north/east, it is a terrible commute to points south. You will need to be medicated if commuting to Stamford daily or worse, NYC.

It is true, Westport and Fairfield are great towns, but 700 does not go far there. We are looking for atleast 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Haven't been able to find that yet in those towns.

Many many options in fairfield for 700 with 4 beds and 2.5 baths. Search again.

Beachfront would be the most coveted. This area is basically the 2nd most coveted area of Milford.

Seems way, way overlisted though. IMHO.

The Lexington Green area of Milford has a mediocre rap. Homes are new and have modern amenities. However lots are small, and there is little privacy since most tree cover was bulldozed when the development began. I'd probably put Woodmont, waterfront, Great River, town center and Wolf Harbor/West River above Lex Green in terms of overall desirability. IMHO a big planned cookie cutter neighborhood just doesn't feel like CT/NE and I have a few friends who unfortunately feel the same way following a move into the neighborhood.

I agree that the price seems very high for the location and what you are getting. I would not call this are Devon but it is not the nicest part of Milford either. I noticed that the Zillow listing shows that this home sold for much less a couple of years ago. Prices have not appreciated that much if at all since then. I would look at comparable sales in the area and see what other similar homes are selling for. Jay

I am currently renting in Lexington green, just around the corner from this house. I really love lexington green overall. Perfect area if you have kids, because the streets are just full of kids and families playing. Great stuff.

If you have money to spend, I know there are plenty of homes that backup onto greenspaces and have back yards.

This wasn't a question about lexington green, though its my experience that almost all green homes backup onto a wooded space (so neighbors to left and right, but not close behind).

THe house you listed here, I would think would be annoying from a walking perspective. You have to go out on ornoque or whatever before walking through lexington green. Not very safe walking, I would feel boxed in.

Personally, I would live in Lexington over the below one (just for the walk).

Price doesn't seem bad, compared to the pre-bubble price in 2003.

Thanks. Have heard lots of good things about Lex Green, although inventory there, and in most of Milford, is limited at best right now. Waiting for that spring inventory pickup to set in, hopefully soon.

Any thoughts on Great River Estates? Seems like a nice development.
