I've never thought New Haven was not well connected but pointing out that Acela is the fastest train in the Americas isn't that big a flex.

Holy cow! A developer paid $10.6 million for a portion of the New Haven Colosseum site, now called Square 10. That’s incredible. Guess Ancora is serious about investing in New Haven. How much did Spinnaker pay the city for the site? Great news for the city. Now let’s get the old Church Street South site opposite Union Station developed and really see New Haven shine. Jay

Yeah, that's a lot for a little corner.

Church Street South is longgg overdue.

I'd like to see the Ct Economic Developer department go to work with the city, as developing office complexes at Church St South should be aggressively pursued.

IMO, there is no comparable location near any train station on the line in Ct, with as advantageous a geographic position.

That’d be smart. I’m not sure they’re that proactive.

I'm actually more optimistic here - the City and State know it's a prime prime site. The delay in my view is due to the authorities being more selective about who uses the site as this is a once in a generation opportunity to properly redevelop the land right next to a critical transportation hub.

The new head of CT Econ Dev. is a New Haven resident with a ton of experience in real estate. This Commissioner even hired a former independent candidate for governor who has good finance and tech chops - something you don't hear too much about on CD.

I hope it moves ahead.

The spat with Elicker and developer mentioned in this article doesn’t build much confidence:
