Fair point capital. I wasn't impressed with the city of NH at that time either. But I did like the institution I attended.

Lets remember that this thread is about urban crime, not what city has better nightlife, daylife, whatever.

Now, concerning the topic of this thread, Stamford beats New Haven. End of story.

Absolutely. New Haven is just the one I'd rather visit. Money no object, I'd live in Stamford.

good ole norwalk. imagine if its population was the size of a stmaford/wbury. they would be up in the high #200's on this list then. myabe ct should build slums in norwalk and new haven and tell all the thugs in all other cities to move to those 2.

Not me. If schools weren't an issue, I'd take an apartment in downtown New Haven any day over Stamford. There aren't many great restaurants and the nightlife is lacking in Stamford. It's also a very character-less, plastic city. Mostly commuters living there because it's the city in the area that has the most rentals; they generally don't care to set roots in town, and it shows. Not that it's a bad city; it just reminds me a lot of Alexandria, VA.

True, I'd probably enjoy an apartment in NH more. I was thinking more in terms of buying a SFH.

Indeed, I found Stamford to be oddly bland. I expected more.
