No, not a crystal ball- no surprise here, everyone knew it was coming. It's been well documented. Click on link- its an article from the July 2011, Hartford Courant.

Also in the article a list of the products they produce.

I knew it was coming last year. However it was never officially stated and when until the 1st layoffs hit reality and the documentation starts.

My neighbors father was the plant engineer when they built that thing in the 60's; she told me a while back and I saw it reported in th Wall Street Journal. However as Yogi would say 'it ain't over until it is over.' Ask the 86 Red Sox that one when Vin Scully ate crow when he gave Marty Barrett the MVP award before the Mets comeback.

Completely different with production.. if a shutdown is announced, it 99.99% gonna happen as planned.. unless someone just loves totally screwing with moral on a line and then dealing with the resulys of that.

Eat more junk, use more junk - keep Unilevers and doctors in business. I've been to Unilever Campus in NE NJ and I got strong impression that it's seriously overstaffed, loitering, showing off and imitation of frantic management activity stuck my unaffiliated eyes. It's a good relaxed place to work I would guess.

Most workers there said it went to pot for a long time. I knew several engineers and logistics people from the gym or church and they only stayed a few years
