I was more angry on 9/11 than sad I remember.. This one for me hit home much worse..it was so cold, so , so ...damn evil. So senseless.

I understand how you felt. I got super medical news just as the events were unfolding, after 1 year of waiting..yet yesterday and even now, these last 36 hours have been, in some respects, far sadder than even 9/11. What started looking like a great day turned tragically.

Having gone to an NYC college for a Bachelors', I was relieved at one thing 9/11.that the strike occured before 9:30 when the observation decks opened, as I knew 200-300 kids would be there, and of course, the bulk of the deaths yesterday were 6 and 7 year olds.

Default Reopening this Thread - Do not go Off Topic

Okay - After a review of this thread and deletion of the off topic posts, I am reopening it. Please be warned that all off topic posts will be deleted and infractions will be issued to those who come here to promote their own agenda. There are other places to do that.

Please understand that this is a very difficult time for our state and comments that discuss other issues help no one. A number of our posters here have been hurt by this tragic event. Some directly, some indirectly. Please respect their pain and suffering by not posting items that are not helpful. Thank you for understanding. JayCT, Moderator

Good work. I could see it was going everywhere for quite some time. It's hard to stay on topic; this is not a Ct story. This is an EVERYWHERE story that happened to have occured this time, in Ct. I got a call from a Tn colleague at noon Friday , who sounded like it was happening at her kids' school. The rawness of her emotions did not indicate being 1,000 miles away.

I was at work when I heard about it and had to keep it together, then I bawled when I got home. This is so heartbreaking. Just know Connecticut that we care a lot, and we are grieving with you. I am so sorry.

On the CBS news tonight they talked a bit about the victims and then at the end listed their names including some of the little kids. I think that was a nice tribute. It did not have all the names but I think eventually it will. With the families' permission of course.

The principal and some of the teachers' stories are being revealed. They were heroes. They died trying to save the kids. When all the stories are told it will really be amazing. This little town has a lot to be proud of.
