Wondering if anyone had any recommendations as far as a Dr who does vasectomies in CT? Location doesn't matter as much as having a good doctor who knows what they are doing.

Maybe you should open the question to the women too...after all, they are the final judges of whether or not the vasectomies were effective!

I went to dr. Small (no pun intentended) in Bridgeport. He did the no scalpel procedure and was in and out in 20 mins. I was ready for business 24hrs later. Pain only lasted about 8-12 hours. Oh yeah, my wife watched the whole procedure so she can be sure my swimmers weren't getting out.

FOOL!

By 45 she would definitely be done with fertility. You though, would have many, many, MANY more good swimming years beyond 45.

Thanks. Any other recommendations? The no scalpel procedure looks intriguing.

Maybe be a fool but I was 31 when I had it done so by your logic that's 14 years of praying. No thanks!

Three of my friends had the regular scalpel procedure done. They had to get stitches and were in pain for a week afterwards. One even had an infection. No scalpel is definitely the way to go. I would explain the whole process from consultation to recovery but it looks as though we have a few people in here that find this thread a bit negative so message me any questions you may have or if you want details on the no scalpel procedure. If you're sure you are done having kids like we were this is the best way to prevent pregnancy.

Birth control and tubal ligation are options that are available. No prayer required.
