Cold front coming through. Winds should be from the West now. Not the south.

Danbury at 51F as of 10 PM -- looks like temps only go downhill from here over the next 24-30 hours to a forecasted 10F for Monday night/Tuesday morning. Winter weather resumes.

NWS may be believing it too.....they went in two days from "little or no accumulation" to "1-3 inches" back down to "an inch or less".

GFS says if this week is not enough for you, next week will be.

Showing historic daily cold temps weekend of 17th. Even for Vermont.

We might not go above freezing much next 2 weeks+ and if what I just saw verifies our lows will be below zero right to the coast.

Windsor Locks Top 10 coldest January lows start at -12°. Last year they hit -9°.
Bridgeport Top 10 coldest January lows start at -1°. Coldest temp ever recorded is -7° 1/22/84

It will REALLY be a waste of cold air if we don't get at least a couple of 2-4" events in that timeframe. No storms, just light snow now & then...

It will be one of those "its too cold to snow" months. lol Lets all not forget the December rule of thumb either.

Everyone in the region feeling the force of the wind right now. Many spots gusting over 30mph!

Pressure gradient tightening from storm near Canadian Maritimes and High Pressure moving in.

Wind Chills in Single digits WPA CNY & in VT. Feels like 20s in NJ and CT.

Here's a nice site that shows all the OBSs. You can sort each column and change the state.

Well, the biting winds have started in the Hartford area. Believe it or not the brief 50-degree temps didn't melt the snow...still have about 1" snowpack in our area.

Litchfield hills must have white landscape as well. Same old boring crap here. Might as well be spring. Is this misery over yet?

And Just as I thought. The Appalachian Mountains will break apart the Clipper coming across.

Had a chance to get a 2-4" dump, now hoping for an inch.
